Born from the desire to blend paved roads with off-road trails, gravel biking bridges the gap between road cycling and mountain biking. Designed to handle asphalt, forest paths, dirt tracks and gravel roads, it takes you just about anywhere.
In the Alpes Vaudoises, gravel riders will find specially tailored routes that showcase the region’s diverse terrain. More than just a bike, gravel is a new way to experience the ride – offering full immersion in the area’s natural beauty, culinary delights and cultural heritage.
So, are you ready for adventure around every corner?
Our gravel biking guides will take you along the region’s finest gravel routes – from quiet roads to forest tracks and trails designed for this unique discipline.
Whether you’re looking to explore new routes or simply enjoy the ride in good company, they’ll adapt to your pace and share their knowledge of the terrain and local heritage.
For several years now, a Strava challenge has been taking cyclists on a tour of the Vaud Alps. The principle is simple: cyclists ride segments of the region's most beautiful climbs and record their outings on the Strava platform. At the end of the season, participants can win prizes in a grand prize draw. In 2024, over 3,700 times were recorded in this way.
New this year: four gravel segments.
